Barbara was a lady of beauty, love, compassion and most of all loved her Lord and Savior. Her special gifts were being an amazing seamstress, quilter, and ironing for clientele that included pastors, musicians, mayors, sherriffs, local musicians and other notable individuals from this community. Barbara’s love was her children, grandchildren, great-grandchildren along with her family and friends. Barbara had many close friends, however the one that was very special was her hair dresser, Angie Vanallman. Her precious hands enjoyed the beauty of gardening with her favorite flowers being iris’ and roses.
Barbara was of the Church of God faith and was a member at Kimball Tabernacle of Praise in Kimball, TN. She loved being very active in her Senior Adult Sunday School Class at Kimball Tabernacle of Praise.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Elza and Pauline Snow; husband, Cecil A. Sutton, Sr.; brother, Bob Snow and sister, Jean Adams.
She leaves her memories to her sons, Cecil A. Sutton, Jr. (Beverly), Vince Sutton (Lisa), and Karl Sutton (Melissa); daughters, Cindy Sutton, Beverly Nunley (Calvin) and Kathie Nunley (Darrell); sister, Beverly Burrows (Richard) along with nine grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
The family will receive friends on Friday, October 25th, 2019 from 3:00 pm to 8:00 pm CDT at Tate Funeral Home in Jasper, Tennessee.
The funeral service will be conducted at Kimball Tabernacle of Praise in Kimball, TN at 12:00 noon on Saturday, October 26th, 2019 with Pastor Darrell Nunley and Pastor Calvin Nunley officiating.
Barbara will be laid to rest following the funeral service at Sequatchie Valley Memorial Gardens in Jasper, TN.
