James A. Jameson, age 62, passed away unexpectedly, Tuesday April 12, 2016, at his home in Oregon, WI.
Jim, fondly known as "Luke" by family and friends, was born December 4, 1953 to Virgil and Joan Jameson in Wisconsin Rapids. He attended and graduated from Adams-Friendship High School in 1972.
After graduation, Jim worked for the Chicago Northwestern Railroad until a back injury forced him to pursue a different line of work. He attended MATC in Madison earning his degree in computer processing. He began his career as a network support specialist with the State of Wisconsin, Department of Revenue in Madison.
Jim enjoyed following the Wisconsin Badgers, the Milwaukee Brewers and the Green Bay Packers.
Jim was preceded in death by his grandparents, and his father, Virgil Sr.
Survivors include his mother, Joan Jameson, Adams; brothers: Virgil Jr (Judy) Jameson, Friendship and Tobin Jameson of Friendship; niece Kylene (Sean) Gehrke, Jude and Chase, Waunakee; uncle, Dennis (Patti) Jameson, Baraboo; and several cousins.
Per Jim's wishes there will be a private family memorial.
Interment will be at Forest Hill Cemetery in Madison.
