My Daddy
Edward E. "Ed" Smalley, III passed away at 10:31 pm in the loving arms of his wife Lori and his daughter Bobbi, at his home in Greer, SC on October 24, 2019.

Ed was the only child born to Ora Mae Cox Smalley and Edward E. Smalley, Jr. on April 2, 1938 in Grove Hill, Alabama.

Ed is survived by his loving wife Lori, whom he married on ct. 2, 1982, in Greenville. SC at the Pelham Road Christian and Missionary Alliance. They were happy and blessed to be together for 37 years.

He is also survived by his loving daughter Bobbi, of St. Mary's City, Md. As well as his precious furbaby, Darra.

Ed is predeceased by his parents and his two sons Gregory Dean "Greg" and Charles Edward "Chuckie" Smalley.

He is a veteran of the US Navy.
He sold life insurance for many years.
He was the owner of Smalley Enterprises.

An honest, kind, generous, loving man. He worshiped his wife, family and close friends. A true southern gentleman.

He would stop and help perfect strangers. Give them rides, buy them lunch, buy them groceries. Whatever he could do.

Dad's favorite food was Chinese, which I don't care much for. My favorite food is Mexican, which Dad didn't care much about. But guess where we would go out to eat.... Mexican. Dad always put the ones he loved first. Every day, Every time.

He had the most beautiful spirit, kindest heart and a smile that could light up any day.
