She was born at Leyden on May 10, 1858, and at the age of eight years removed with her parents to Boonville.
In that village on Oct, 17, 1877, she was married to George F. Griffith and in 1892 came with him to Utica.
Mrs. Griffith is survived by her husband, a son, W. A. Griffith of Manati, Puerto Rico, two daughters, Helen M. and Jessie R. of Utica, her father, A. A. Dewey of this city, two sisters, Mrs. H. A. Wheelock and Mrs. F. L. Guillaume, also of Utica, and two brothers, Dr. Alburton Alonzo Dewey Jr. of Bristol, Conn., and B. C. Dewey of Utica.
