Luvinda died in 1885 or 1886, (per her son who said she died when he was 7. No records exist of her death or burial). Annie was an orphan, and per NC researchers, would have been assigned by the state court to a family for her care. She could have been "apprenticed" as a "Bound Girl," (indentured servant), as her younger brother John was. Don't know what family she was assigned to.
February 26, 1896 Annie Lee married William M. Dail. The couple had 6 children. After William died in 1930, according to Annie's obituary, she lived the rest of her life with one of her daughter's in Suffolk County, NY. I have posted her obituary for the details of her family, funeral and final resting place.
It is conjectured that Annie's husband William is also interred in Greenwood Cemetery. He was initially buried in Jackson Cemetery in Pitt County. However it was said that he was exhumed at the behest of the Jackson clan as he nor Annie were part of that family. (Believe that he was initially interred there on the fact that Annie's brother was married to a Jackson).
Was told that the Town of Tarboro, NC only has records of who purchased plots in Evergreen Cemetery. They don't have a record of the names of people interred in the cemetery. Find A Grave has the burial ground 60% photographed. Annie nor William are among those photos. If their markers are not legible, then it will remain unknown where they are buried and indeed, if William is interred there.
