(1908 - 1997)

Betty Schnorr, age 88, of 3600 Columbus St., Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, June 3, 1997, at her residence.

Funeral Services will be held at 1:30 p.m. Friday, June 6, 1997, at Good Shepherd Lutheran Church, Two Rivers. Rev. Kenneth Dowdy will officiate at the service with burial at Forest View Cemetery, Two Rivers.

Betty was born July 7, 1908, in Kewaunee County, daughter of the late John and Bozenna Doleysh Boehm. In November of 1924, she married Philip M. Schnorr, in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on June 17, 1984. Betty was employed at various Two Rivers locations including the City Dairy, JC Penney, Suettinger Hardware, Sentry, and Stop and Go. She was a charter member of Calvary Lutheran Church where she sang in the choir and taught Sunday School for many years. She was a member of the Ladies Aid of Calvary Lutheran Church and held various officer positions. Presently Betty was a member of Good Shepherd Lutheran Church and the Two Rivers Senior Center. She was a former Girl Scout leader, and along with her husband, a foster parent for many years. Betty loved to knit and crochet and donated many of her items to the missions, including the Bethesda Lutheran Home.

Survivors include two sons and daughters-in-law, Rev. Clarence and Pearl Schnorr, Newberry, Mich., John and Bette Schnorr, Two Rivers; one daughter and son-in-law, Audrey and Claude Laurent, Two Rivers; 9 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; other relatives and friends also survive.

The family will greet relatives and friends at the church from 12:30 p.m. Friday until the time of service. There will be no Thursday evening visitation.

The Klein and Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, is assisting the family with arrangements.

Miss Bozana Boehm, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. John Boehm of the Town of Mishicot and Philip M. Schnor Jr. of Mishicot, son of Mr. and Mrs. Philip Schnorr of this city were united in marriage Nov. 26 at the office of Judge Chloupek at the Court House, many friends and relatives were present. The attendants were Miss Martha L. Boehm, Miss Leona Daleysh, William Schnorr and Chester Peronto.

Fifty couples were entertained at a dancing party at Eastwin Hall after the ceremony and dinner was served. Mr. and Mrs. Schnorr left Friday on a visit of Marinette and will be at home Dec. 6 at Mishicot. The groom is employed at the Hamilton Mfg. Co.

Out of town guests were William Schnorr, East Troy, Martha Boehm, Green Bay; Mr. and Mrs. James Marineau, Marinette; Alice Vergrat, Miss Marineau, Marinette; Mr. and Mrs. Dhideck, Manitowoc and Mr. and Mrs. Frisch, Manitowoc.
