Funeral services for Mr. William Jessie Spence, Sr., age 80, will be held at 2:00 PM, Friday, October 25, 2019, at the First Baptist Church, Springhill, with Bro. Chris Beshea officiating. Interment, with Masonic graveside rites, will follow in Springhill Cemetery under the direction of Bailey Funeral Home, Springhill, LA.

Visitation will be held Thursday, October 24, 2019, 5:00 PM - 8:00 PM at Bailey Funeral Home.

Mr. Spence was born on February 10, 1939 to Roy Lee and Bertha Mae Cox Spence in Bradley, AR and passed away on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 in Shreveport, LA. He was a member of the First Baptist Church, Springhill Masonic Lodge, El Karubah Shiners, Springhill Rodeo Association, he was a veteran of the U. S. Army, and a founding member of the Harkin's Handy Stop Coffee Club.

He is survived by four daughters, Laura Robinson and husband, Lenny of Keithville, LA, Sandra Lasiter and husband, Bill of West Monroe, LA, Jessica Spence of Springhill, LA, Jesslynn Hale and husband, Lawrence of Maumelle, AR; son, William Jessie Spence Jr. and wife, Jennifer of Springhill, LA; brother, Roy Spence, Jr. of Springhill, LA; five granddaughters, Ashly Budwah, Taylor McCormick, Brooke Lasiter, Melissa Robinson, Faren Ready Hale; four grandsons, Brock Lasiter, Mickey Robinson, Nicholas Hale, Jacob Hale; seven great-grandchildren, a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Spence was preceded in death by his wife, Pat Spence; his parents; brother, Clyde Spence; sisters, Billie Jean Hill, Virginia Autry, and Pat Norris.

Pallbearers will be David Spence, Paul Spence, Jeff Spence, Sam Autry, Tra Autry, Jimmy McKinney, Danny Hill and Michael Colvin. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Harkin's Handy Stop Coffee Club.
