Juliette Burns was born February 29, 1844 in Preble County, Ohio, and died at the Minneapolis hospital, March 27, 1930, aged 86 years and twenty-seven days.

She was united in marriage to John Coffield in 1862. They moved from the Ohio home to Indianapolis, Indiana and later to Topeka, Kansas. They were early settlers in Ottawa County, having homesteaded near Delphos in 1872 from whence they moved to Greenwood county in 1896 She resided in Kansas City, Missouri from 1897 until the death of her husband in 1908. She then moved back to Delphos, and later to Minneapolis, where she spent the latter days of her life.

Mrs. Coffield was a member of the Presbyterian Church at Delphos. She leaves to mourn her departure five children: Chester and Charles Coffield of Kansas City, Missouri; Cora Burnette of Minneapolis; Nettie Casey of Delphos; and Ruby Hamilton of Minneapolis; twenty-four grandchildren, forty great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren.

The funeral services were held at the Smith Funeral Home in Minneapolis Saturday afternoon, and were conducted by the pastor of the Methodist Episcopal Church by the Rev. Alexander Bryans. Interment was made in Highland Cemetery.
