Deanie was born August 22, 1951 in Houston, Texas to Frank and Cynthia Gabriel. She grew up on her parent's dairy in Cypress where she loved riding horses. She attended Cy-Fair High School. She met the love of her life, Harold "Ray" King at the Fieldstore Rodeo where she was barrel racing. Ray and Deanie married on October 14, 1972. Deanie helped to run Ray's business, Houston Electrotech, and she was a dedicated caretaker to Ray after a tragic accident that eventually took his life. Deanie was a loving and devoted wife, mother, daughter, aunt and grandmother. She had a wonderful sense of humor and loved the fall season, animals, antiques, country music and reminiscing about fond family memories.
Deanie was preceded in death by her loving husband Ray in 1992, her parents, father-in-law Bobby King, sister-in-law Nancy Mc Bride, brother-in-law Tommy King and grandparents Cecil Terry and Mamie Terry Schmidt and Frank Gabriel Sr. and wife Annie. She leaves her daughter, Kimberly King and companion Terry Folsom, grandchildren Corbyn Pettigrew, Aubrey Folsom, Victoria Folsom and Coty Plunk, great grandchildren Clifton Wellman and Sophia Folsom, sister Ann Schultz and husband Walter of Nixon, brother Terry Gabriel and wife Mildred of Navasota, and 7 nieces, Annette Parker, Shelly Wilcox, Terra Hansen, Rebecca Mack, Cynthia Schultz, Cari Shaw and Kelly Duckworth and numerous other family and friends.
Serving as pallbearers are Donnie Parker, Kurtis Wilcox, Jamie Dyal, Chad Hight, Curtis Poland and Quinn Hansen. Honorary pallbearers are Rex Ticknor, Robert Petrich, Walter Schultz, Bubba Hand, Brennan Mack, Justin Shaw, Ike Duckworth and Adam Hirsch
A celebration of Deanie's life will be held on Saturday October 26, 2019 at Klein Funeral Home in Tomball (1400 W Main Street). Visitation will begin at 9:00 AM followed by a Funeral Liturgy at 10:00 AM and graveside services.
