Evelyn K. Hoover, age 87, of Chambersburg, passed away March 21, 2013 in Chambersburg. She was born January 30, 1926 in Chambersburg, PA to Howard and Kathryn (Herr) Knoll. She was the widow of the late Glenn Hoover who died in 2008. She was a member of the King Street United Brethren Church since her teen years, and after the death of her husband, she attended the Mt. Vernon Christian and Missionary Alliance Church. She was a Sunday School teacher for sixty years and taught Bible study classes in her home for twenty years. She was a homemaker most of her life. She is survived by her three daughters: Bonnie K. (wife of Reuben) Coldsmith of Chambersburg, Donna F. (wife of Dennis) Hoffman of Greencastle, and Carol A. (wife of Carl) Shiffer of Millersburg. She has eight grandchildren and ten great-grandchildren. She is also survived by four sisters: Margaret Huber, Hazel Knoll, Ruth Shannon, Arlene Graham all of Chambersburg and one brother, Glenn W. Knoll of Chambersburg. In addition to her parents and her husband, she was preceded in death by two brothers, Melvin & Donald Knoll. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, March 26, 2013 at Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, Ltd. with the Revs. Reuben Coldsmith and Clint Bingaman officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service. Interment will be held at Salem Cemetery. Kelso-Cornelius Funeral Home, 725 Norland Ave, Chambersburg, will be handling the arrangements.
