Terry Lee Reed was born on November 7, 1947, in Fort Dodge, Iowa to Lester and Elvira (Frakes) Reed. He was raised and educated in Eagle Grove. Terry served his country during the Vietnam War, serving in the United States Army from June 1966 to July 1969.

Terry married LaVonne Simpson and they had a daughter, Jacqueline. He married Judy Gumbel and they had Little Terry, Crystal and Jodi. On August 17, 1991, he married Sylvia Lilienthal and they had Mathew, Timothy and Lesley.

Terry worked many years for American Concrete and owned and operated "The Zoo" in Eagle Grove. He enjoyed racing, fishing, camping, gardening, grandchildren and watching college and pro football, especially the Hawkeyes and Vikings.

Terry passed away on Monday, October 21, 2019, at the VA Central Iowa Health Care System in Des Moines, at the age of 71 years. He was preceded in death by his parents, Lester and Elvira; son, Little Terry; grandson, Nicholas Reed and siblings, Arlin Reed, Stanley Reed and Penny Gonzales.

Terry is survived by his wife, Sylvia Reed; children: Jacqueline Loats, Crystal Reed, Jodi Reed (Jes Willwerth), Mathew Reed (Alyssa), Timothy Reed (Rhianna), Lesley Herndon-Reed and Corey Sporaa (Shelle) and grandchildren: Jeffrey Loats, Mindy Loats, Aimee Loats, Logan Reed, Madison Reed, Bucky Quintus, Bella Quintus, Jersey Willwerth, Ashlyn Willwerth, Dreyden Reed, Reverie Reed, Azure Reed, Adilynn Loux, Kinnick Egli, Tyten Herndon, Tasha Escobar (Alicia& Sophia), Quentin Hill and Dylan Sporaa.

Funeral Services will be held Friday, October 25, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove with Pastor Jim Roth officiating. Visitation will be Thursday from 5:00 – 7:00 P.M. at Foust Funeral Home in Eagle Grove – New Location. Burial will be in Glenwood Cemetery, Goldfield.
