My beloved mother.

Alice Jo Anne Clark, Jo Anne to her friends, left this earth realm on October 12, 2019, after a long battle with COPD and CHF at Saint Mary's Hospital in Reno Nevada. She was 89 years old.

It would be wrong to say that my mom lost her battle because she never stopped fighting. No matter how sick she was, she was always determined. When anyone else would have broken, my mom stayed strong. Through her, we know what resilience and perseverance truly look like. There was no quit in mom. Just because she is no longer here, it doesn't mean she lost her fight.

Always caring, ever kind and giving, even as she grew old.

To me she was my lovely mother, to you Lord, a beloved child. I could only know her a little, you knew her spirit deep inside.

While waves of grief break over me, crushing like a storm, You've greeted her with a warm embrace when you called her home.

It's silent and so empty here since she passed away. And yet she will hear celebration called forever into grace.

My memories of her are my treasures now.

A very special thank you to Diane Miller for sponsoring my mother's memorial.
