Funeral services will be held at 11:00AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church in Opelousas, LA, for Mrs. Dorothy Emily Chatman Greene, 90, who entered eternal rest Friday, October 18, 2019 at Lafayette General Medical Center.
Mrs. Greene is survived by seven sons, Hebrard Greene, Jr. (Beverly), Atlee Greene, Clayton Greene, Marion Greene (Rose), Garland Greene, Sr. (Sherylyn), Dorsey Greene (Marie) and Eric Greene (Julie); three daughters, Irma Dean (Paul), Miranda Greene, and Gertrude Kadie (Kirk); three brothers, Louis Chatman, Jr., George Chatman and Raymond Chatman; thirty grandchildren; fourteen great grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Mrs. Greene was preceded in death by her husband, Herbrard Greene, Sr.; a son, Carlton Ray Greene; five daughters, Katie Mae Greene Stagg, Doretha Green Alfred, Merlin Greene, Earline Greene and Octavia Greene; two brothers, Jules and Austin Chatman and a sister, Syble Chatman.
Visiting hours will be observed from 8:00AM to 11:00AM Saturday, October 26, 2019 at Mt. Olive Baptist Church.
