Carl C. Hansen, Jr. 68, passed away on Thursday, Sept. 27, 2018 at Highland Park Hospital from the Guillian-Barre syndrome. He was born Oct. l, 1949 in Chicago, was a former 38 year resident of Libertyville and has lived in Gurnee the past 5 years. A wonderful musician, Carl was a member of the Chicago Master Singers and a member of the choir of St. Lukes and St. Matthew's Episcopal Churches in Evanston. He was instrumental in installing the Pipe Organ at Holy Cross Church and enjoyed playing the organ, golfing, cooking, boating and especially his family and grandchildren. Surviving are his wife of 46 years, Beth Hansen; 2 children, Jay (Rebecca) Hansen and Lindsey (Jeff) Miska; 3 grandchildren, Madison & Johnny Miska and Connor Hansen; his mother Ruth Hansen. He was preceded in death by his father Carl H. Hansen, Sr. in 2012. Visitation will be from 11:00 am until the time of Celebration of Life service at 1:00 pm at Holy Cross Lutheran Church, 29700 N. St. Mary's Road, Libertyville, IL 60048 . Memorial contributions can be made to the Holy Cross Church Organ Fund.
