Steven Lee “Tucan” Turner, 70, of Franklin, passed away on Friday, October 18, 1949 in Franklin.

He was born on August 20, 1949 in Franklin to Hank Turner and Margaret (Purdy) Payton. He married Theresa A. (Tanner) Turner on June 30, 1970. She survives. Other survivors include daughter, April Marie Turner, brother, Paul Turner, sisters, Shari (Tony) Sabatino, Dana Steele and Angela Eastwood Turner. Also surviving are nieces and nephews, Nikki Curtis, Josh Buchanan, Brooke Phillippe, Crystal Williams, Alicia Eastwood, Douglas Eastwood, Paul Gaertner, Angelique Turner, Charles A. Turner and Gwendolyn Martinez. He was preceded in passing by his father, Hank Turner.

Steve attended Franklin Community Schools. He was a veteran of the United States Army.

He was employed by Arvin Industries in Franklin.

The family would like to thank the Shriners for all of their help with daughter April over the years.

A celebration of Steve’s life will be held on Friday, October 25 at 2:00 p.m. at Flinn and Maguire Funeral Home, 2898 North Morton Street (U.S. 31 North) in Franklin with calling on Friday from 11:00 a.m. to time of service at 2:00 p.m. at the funeral home. Burial will be at Greenlawn Cemetery at a later date.
