Hilda Mersiovsky, 98, passed away Monday, July 9, 2007.

Funeral services will be at 11 a.m., Friday, July 13, 2007, in the Hampton Vaughan Chapel with Pastor Kevin Tiaden officiating. Interment will follow at Crestview Memorial Park.

Hilda was born October 1, 1908 in Jarrell, Texas, to Emil and Selma Othelia (Neitsch) Boriack. She moved to the Vernon/Harrold area in 1933, then to Wichita Falls in 1952.

She joined St. Paul's Lutheran Church in September of 1952, and was a member of the Tabitha Society.

She was an avid gardener and a good cook. Her most precious memories were cooking for family gatherings.

Mrs. Mersiovsky is survived by two daughters, Ruby Swartz and Margaret Phillips; and husband, Richard all of Wichita Falls; and one son, Al, and wife Connie of Lubbock, Texas. She is also survived by nine grandchildren, Sheila and Phil Bramlett of Ardmore, Okla, Steve and Karen Swartz of McCloud, Okla., Susan and Rick Willis of Henrietta, Texas, Stewart and Denise Swartz of Wichita Falls, Texas, Scott and Amy Swartz of Wichita Falls, Texas, Melba and Jack Parchman of Ransom Canyon, Texas, David Mersiovsky of Lubbock, Texas, Kristin Phillips of Houston, Texas, Lori and Josh Harris of Houston, Texas; as well as nine great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1985, two brothers, Henry and Efreid; and one sister, Margaret Lewis.

Visitation is scheduled for Thursday, July 12, 2007, from 7 8:00 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be made to Hospice of Wichita Falls, or St Paul Lutheran Church.
