Pamela Gray Goodman, 74, of Chester, NJ, passed away at Morristown Medical Center in Morristown, NJ, on June 29, 2015. The cause of death was ovarian cancer.
A memorial visitation will be held on Friday, July 3, from 4 to 7 p.m., followed by a service at 7 p.m. at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ (908-879-3090).
Originally from South Orange, NJ, Dr. Gray earned a doctorate of education degree in Educational Administration and Supervision from Seton Hall University (1986) and enjoyed a long, successful career in public education, where she touched the lives of a myriad of students and educators alike. Dr. Gray was a past president of the New Jersey Association for Gifted Children, created the Union County Gifted and Talented Association, was an adjunct instructor at the Kean College Graduate School of Education, a published author, and was honored for her efforts by the Springfield Chamber of Commerce Educational Leader award (2001).
Pam is survived by her loving husband John; devoted children, Randall, Andrew, and Cynthia and her husband Scott; adoring grandchildren John Patrick, James, and Annibelle; her mother Helen Gray; her brother Allen Gray and sisters Nanci Samuels and Sharon Hait.
