Julia Amanda Robinson, 82, a lifelong resident of Chester, NJ passed away on Saturday, July 25, 2015 at home. Julia was born on May 24, 1933 in Chester. Julia was an integral part of the Chester Community and loved her hometown. She was the CFO and Tax Collector for Chester Borough for 30 years. She was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary for the Chester Fire Company and a Lifetime Member of both the American Legion Post 342 and the Chester Volunteer First Aid Squad. Belonging to the 50 Plus Club, Community Presbyterian Church, Chester Pool Committee, and the Town Council for Chester Borough, the planning board, and historical society, Julia made significant contributions to her community. She was a Boy Scout Den Mother and taught Sunday School when her children were younger. Julia also loved sports; she was an avid golfer, a member of the Chester Farmerettes and Ollie's Dollies Softball teams, coached girl's softball teams, and was an ASA umpire for the Men's Softball League.

Julia is survived by her husband of 61 years, Francis "Fritz" Robinson; her children Sharon Hooey (Alan), Glenn Robinson (Angel), Ralph Robinson (Vicki), Susan Mainiero (Raymond) and Mary Robinson; her grandchildren Thomas and Melissa Mainiero, Holly Ann, Taylor and Cody Robinson, and Jessica Gash (Rob); her great grandchildren Ethan and Skyler Gash, and her siblings Clarence Hollenbeck (Hope), Geraldine Berthoff, and Doris Neufeld. She was predeceased by her grandson Andrew Mainiero.

A Celebration of Julia's Life will include a visitation on Tuesday, July 28, 2015 from 2-4pm and 6-8pm at the William J Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road (Corner of Rt. 206), Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A 10:30am Funeral service will be held on Wednesday, July 29 at the Community Presbyterian Church in Chester. Interment will follow at Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Chester.
