Funeral services for Lillie Mae House, 80, of Giddings, Texas are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on
Thursday, October 24, 2019 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau, Texas with Rev. Garrett Smith officiating. Burial will immediately follow in the church cemetery.

Visitation will be held on Tuesday, October 22, 2019 from 3:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Wednesday, October 23, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Thursday, October 24, 2019 from 7:00 a.m. until 8:00 a.m. at Phillips & Luckey Funeral Home in Giddings. The family will be present for visitation Wednesday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Lillie Mae (Schulze) House was born on March 28, 1939 in Giddings, Texas the daughter of Gustav and Theodora (Iselt) Schulze. She was baptized on April 9, 1939 and confirmed on March 29, 1953 at Christ Lutheran Church in Loebau by Rev. Herbert Hartfield.

Her calling in life was serving others and she worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant in nursing homes in Giddings, La Grange and Caldwell. Lillie Mae enjoyed working in customer service and helped run the Quick Stop in Giddings and Walch Store in Lincoln for many years.

She was united in marriage to Robert "Bob" Eugene House on February 13, 1993 at Immanuel Lutheran Church in Giddings with Rev. Wilbern Michalk officiating. When not working Lillie Mae enjoyed doing embroidery work and making noodles. She cherished the time she was able to spend with her family especially her grandchildren and great-grandchildren whom she adored.

Lillie Mae passed away during the early morning hours of Monday, October 21, 2019 at Oakland Manor Nursing Center in Giddings.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gus and Dora Schulze; her first husband and the father of their children, Monroe Exner; her second husband, Robert "Bob" House; three brothers, Martin Schulze and his wife, Elsie, Walter Schulze and his wife, Amanda and Arnold Schulze and his wife, Betty Jo; and one sister, Hattie Schneider and her husband, Arnold.

Lillie is survived by three children, Carl Exner and his wife, Sandra of Lincoln, Susie Smith and her husband, Tim of Lincoln and Pam Machac and her husband, Darren of Giddings; two step-children, Paul House and his wife, Lara of League City and Jason House and his wife, Karen of Houston; fifteen grandchildren, Candace and Nathan Schimank, Keith and Heidi Exner, Craig and Cheree Exner, Michelle and Brandon Krause, Dustin and Denise Kieschnick, Ashli and Steven Hartranft, Ben Machac and Lindsey Mitschke and Chaise Machac; six step-grandchildren, Ruby House, Iris House, Jenny and J. R. Beasley and Amy Smith and Robert Remay; fourteen great-grandchildren, Clay Schimank, Colt Schimank, Baylen Exner, Kellan Exner, Daeghyn Exner, Madison Portales-Krause, Bryce Krause, Dakota Kieschnick, Dayton Kieschnick, Carson Hartranft, Grayson Hartranft, Jaxson Hartranft, Kasen Mitschke and Kallen Mitchke; four step-great-grandchildren, Jaedon Beasley, Gracie Beasley, Elliott Beasley and Kaia Beasley; one sister, Ruth Beisert and her husband, Alvin of Giddings; as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Serving as pallbearers will be Craig Exner, Keith Exner, Nathan Schimank, Dustin Kieschnick, Brandon Krause, Steven Hartranft, Chaise Machac and Ben Machac. Honorary pallbearers will be Lillie Mae's great-grandchildren along with Michael Beisert, Ronnie Beisert and Charles "Duke" Schneider.

Memorials may be made to the Christ Lutheran Church Tuition Fund, 4654 County Road 114, Lincoln, TX 78948-6444 or to the charity of one's choice.
