Lyle Franklin Moore, 79 of Benton, passed away Saturday, October 19, 2019 at his residence in Benton.
Lyle is a retired coal miner formerly working for Consol Coal Company.
Lyle was born May 23, 1940 in Benton, IL to Madison Henry and Mildred Lorine (Roberts) Moore.
Lyle was united in marriage with Patricia A. (Vaughn) Wagoner on September 1, 1995 at the West Monroe Apostolic Church in Herrin.
Surviving are his wife of 24 years, Patricia Moore of Benton; daughter and son-in-law, Jennifer and Russell of Herrin; grandchildren; three step-sons, Doug and Cathy of Dongola, Larry of Herrin, Ed and Linda of Aiken, SC; step grandchildren; 15 step great grandchildren; three sisters, JoAnn of McLeansboro, Marjorie of Logan, Mary (Shorty) of Akin; four brothers, H__ (L__) Moore of Benton, Ed (Felicia) of Benton, Rev. Donald (Sherry) of Freeport, Ernest (Karen) of Ohio and a host of nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents and a sister, Betty Ehrhart.
Services will be 1:00 p.m. Wednesday, October 23, 2019 at Meredith-Waddell Funeral Home.
Burial will be in Herrin City Cemetery in Herrin.
