June Elizabeth Collins Harvey was born June 20, 1926 in Detroit, Michigan. June passed away peacefully, with her husband by her side, on Friday, February 26 in Naples, Florida.

June was a remarkable woman who enjoyed dancing, which led to her meeting her husband Jim at the University of Michigan. June was wearing a green dress and dancing a Spanish dance, complete with castanets. Their loving relationship lasted for almost 68 years. June supported and loved Jim throughout his career as City Attorney, City Council and Mayor of Saginaw, Michigan; U.S. Congressman; and Federal District Judge. Among her many accomplishments, June christened the USS Saginaw in 1970 and chaired the Congressional Club's First Lady's Luncheon for Pat Nixon in 1972.

She was active in every community in which she lived through substitute teaching, volunteer activities, and her active participation in country clubs in Saginaw, Washington D.C., Port Huron and Naples. June was a fantastic tennis and golf player, winning championships and the hearts of her grandchildren whom she introduced to both games.

June and Jim raised two wonderful children, Diane and Tom, both of whom predeceased June. Surviving June is her husband, Jim, grandchildren, and three great-grandchildren.

Cremation has taken place and a memorial service for members of the family will be held in Michigan at a later date. Fuller Funeral Home
