Age 82, a long-time rancher in Elk, Washington, passed away on Monday, January 12, 2004 at Elk. He is survived by his brother and wife, Robert and Gladys Henry of Medical Lake, WA; and a brother-in-law, Lloyd Lundgren of Spokane. He is an uncle to Larry Henry and wife, Liz of Chattaroy, WA, Lonnie Henry and wife, Kathy of White Swan, WA, Judy Henry of Redding, CA, David Lundgren and wife, Monic of Spokane, and Betty Donaldson of Monroe, WA. Richard is preceded in death by his brother, Charles Henry, his sister, Norma Jean Lundgren; and his parents, Emery Judson Henry and Esther Margaret Clark Henry. Born on June 15, 1921 in Milton, Oregon, he graduated from Reardan, WA, High School and served with the United States Army during WWII seeing combat action in the South Pacific at the Bismark Archipelago, New Guinea, and the southern Philippines with the 489th Amphibian Company. Richard and his brother, Charles, owned and operated their ranch near Eloika Lake for over fifty years. Funeral Services honoring Mr. Henry will be at 11:00 a.m., Tuesday, January 20, 2004 at the Lauer Funeral Home in Deer Park, WA, with Rev. Gene Gentry officiating. Interment will be in the Reardan, WA, City Cemetery. [Spokesman Review]
