He was born on June 30, 1941 in Carlsbad, NM to the late George A. Tighe and Irene Mitchell. Mr. Tighe was a veteran serving in the US Army. He was a member of St. Therese Catholic Church in Mooresville. He was active in the YMCA; especially with the Parkinson's group and playing racquetball. He also loved to play golf.
