Georgia Maxine (Giesken) Fletcher, age 79, of El Dorado Springs, MO., passed away October 19, 2019 at Cedar County Memorial Hospital. Georgia was born in Quitman, MO., to George and Hazel Giesken on February 7, 1940.
Georgia moved to El Dorado Springs while in high school. This is when she met the love of her life, Donald Fletcher. They were married on August 1, 1958. To this marriage two children were born, Sherri Norman and Randy Fletchter.
Georgia and Donnie attend the Church of Christ in Stockton, MO. for many years. they loved the Church and their church family so much.
She was known for her amazing quilting talent. She put so much love into making her masterpieces for family to enjoy. Her beautiful job of machine quilting had her quilting for people in several states. She always said her quilts were made with love.
Georgia is survived by her children: Sheran Norman and Randy Fletcher and wife Carmen; her grandchildren: Ken & DaNae Norman, Kurt a& Jeanie Norman, Klarisa Norman, Miranda & Shannon Lowrey, Jordan & Jamie Fletcher, Kaitlyn Norman; her great-grand-children: Kolten, Parker, Tevor, Kaydence and Riley Norman, Danica Lowrey, Kalen Post, and Blair Fletcher; brother: Jake and Glenda Giesken of Maryville, MO.; sister, Jo and Merlen Shaner of El Dorado Springs: sister-in-law, Janice and Richard Howerton of Bolivar, MO.; and several nieces and nephews.
Preceding her in death was her husband and best friend, Donald Fletcher; parents, George and Hazel Giesken; son-in-law, Gary Norman; sisters, Shirley Swopes nd Jean Schmelza; mother-in-law and father-in-law, Lewis & Nova Fletcher; brother-in-law, Scott Fletcher; and sister-in-law, Darlene Smith.
Visitation will be Tuesday October 22, 2019 from 10:00 - 11:00 a.m. at the Bland-Hackleman Chapel in El Dorado Springs, MO.
Services will be Tuesday, October 22, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. in the Bland-Hackleman Chapel in El Dorado Springs, MO. with burial in the Alder Cemetery in Stockton, MO.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to St. Jude's and left at the funeral home
