Henry Stangl Rites

RICHLAND CENTER - Funeral services for Henry J. Stangl, 75, retired druggist who died in a Prairie du Chien sanatorium Saturday night, will be at 9:30 a. m. in St. Mary's Catholic church, the Rev. Owen Mitchell officiating. Although Mr. Stangl formally retired in 1938, he returned to Richland Center during World War II to help operate a drug store here. In addition to operating drug stores in Edgerton and Denver, Colo., he also operated the former Palace drug store in Madison many years ago. It was while he was working in Muscoda that he married the former Amelia Postel. He is survived by his sister-in- law, Mrs. Robert C. Burnham; a nephew, Robert G. Burnham; and two nieces, Mrs. W. C. Edwards, and Mrs. Zerita Smith, all of Richland Center. His body is at the Lunenschloss- Doudna funeral home, and will be returned to Denver for burial.
