Terry met her husband, the late MSgt Edward Combs, Jr., USAF, Ret. in Japan, where they were married in 1953. She raised her three daughters as an Air Force spouse living in Cloverport, Kentucky, Sacramento, California, Hiroshima and Tachikawa, Japan, Okinawa, Japan, Taipei, Taiwan, and Peru, Indiana. In Peru, Terry worked for thirty years at Duke Memorial Hospital and became a highly valued, and respected employee in the dietician department. During that time and throughout her retirement she became well known for her wonderfully delicious Asian cuisine cooking. Also in retirement, she enjoyed many trips back to Japan to visit her brother and, sisters and, their families.
Terry is survived by her three daughters, Theresa Tess Cook (Jeff), Angela Combs (Ned), and Eddie Sue Combs, grandchildren Jeffrey Combs (Jessica) and Sean Diggs, and great grandchildren Brayden and Logan Combs. Also surviving in Japan are her sister, Misako Omokawa (Katsuma), and many nieces and nephews.
