Flora Weil Katz was born in Paincourtville on July 10, 1916, and passed away on Monday, July 9, 2007, in Lafayette at age 90. She was a resident of Livonia, a teacher and a homemaker.
She received her bachelor of arts degree from LSU in 1936, and was a member of Temple Beth Shalom in Baton Rouge and Temple Shalom in Lafayette.
Survived by her children, Doris Katz White and husband Elton, Joseph Katz and wife Vivian, and Daniel Katz and wife Carolyn; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.
She was preceded in death by her husband, William Katz; and parents, Alphonse and Rosina Dreyfus Weil.
