He was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 62 years, Carol Gibson; brothers, Lowell, Vaughn, and Ray Arnold. Doris is survived by his children, Doris (Henry) Patton, Robert "Bob" Gibson, and Stephen R. (Kathryn) Gibson; grandchildren, Michael (Shannon), Christopher (Anna), Christina, Rachel (Pete), Lauren, Grace, Anna, Mary, and Isaac; great-grandchildren, Luke, Levi, Legend, Judah, Ezra, Brielle, Madison, Sam, and London; sister, Clotene (Kenneth) Noel; brother, Denver Jr.; his beloved uncle, Bennett Dixon; and a host of other family members and friends.
Doris was a very honorable man. His main priority was God and family and was gifted with the spiritual gift of service for others. Doris was an avid golfer, sportsman, competing with friends & family with many different types of games. He loved to garden to feed the neighborhood, church, and strangers. Doris will truly be missed by all those blessed to know him.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, October 26, 2019 from 10:00 am - 11:00 am at Trinity Christian Assembly, 1146 Grange Hall Road, Beavercreek, Ohio followed by a Funeral Service at 11:00 am. Doris will be laid to rest with his beloved wife, Carol at Valley View Memorial Gardens, 170 N Valley Rd., Xenia, Ohio 45385.
