SEVIERVILLE,TENN./GENEVA- Janet A. (Riccione) Cole, 66, passed away peacefully on Monday (March 6, 2017) at the Fort Sanders Regional Medical Center in Knoxville, Tenn.
Family and friends may call from 4 to 7 p.m. on Friday (March 10, 2017) at the Palmisano-Mull Funeral Home LLC, 28 Genesee St. Geneva. A
Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 9:30 a.m. on Saturday (March 11 2017) in St. Francis De Sales Church.
Contributions may be directed to the American Heart Association, 25 Circle
St. Rochester, NY 14607, or the American Cancer Society, 1100 Goodman St. S, Rochester, NY 14620.
Janet was born on November 15, 1950 in Geneva, and was a daughter of the late Humbert "Ham" and Muriel (Rider) Riccione. She attended FLCC and received her Associate's Degree in Accounting. Janet worked for many years at O'Malley's in Geneva and then at the Ontario County Dept. of Probation. She served as past President of the Knights of Columbus Women's Auxiliary and the American Legion Auxiliary Post 396, and was a member of St. Francis De Sales Catholic Church.
She is survived by her daughter, Christina (Tava) Barnard of Kodak, Tenn.;
sister, Susan Riccione of Seneca Falls; grandchildren Brandon, Courtney and Blake Newland; great-grandson, William Newland; nieces Kim (Pat) Maher, Katie Martin and Alyssa Carter; nephews Steve Riccione, Burke Riccione and Kyle Martin; great-nephew, Cody Maher; great nieces Jessica (Anthony) Madia, Ali Maher and Ashlyn Riccione; special aunt, Frances Riccione; sister-in-law, Nancy Riccione; several special cousins.
Janet was predeceased by her husband, William Cole, Jr. in 2007; brothers
Steven Riccione and Thomas Riccione.
