Charlotte J. Fowler, 82, of Berwick, passed away Thursday, Oct. 17, 2019, at Sunset Ridge Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center, where she was a resident for four years. She was born Sept. 16, 1937, in Berwick, a daughter of the late Delbert Lemont and Uella Irene (Confer) Bower.

She attended Berwick schools. Charlotte enjoyed listening to country music, camping, playing cards, watching college basketball, baking, and most of all, spending time with her family.

Charlotte is survived by son, Donald L. Fowler Jr.; companion, Sue Harvey, of Berwick; three daughters: Janet Fowler, companion, Margaret Trippany, of Oakland, Tenn., Lucy Long of Bloomsburg, Nancy Fowler of Berwick; seven grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter; as well as six siblings: Darvin Bower, Elaine Johns, Geraldine Hartman, Cora Gascon, Bonnie Kingston, and Sarah “Sally” Miller.

Charlotte was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Donald L. “Jim” Fowler Sr., who passed away Sept. 12, 2006; grandson, Grant Fowler; as well as nine siblings: Etta Marquire Bower, Robert Bower, Donald Bower, Delbert Bower, Velma Fetterman, Dora Diltz, Elvin Bower, Harold Bower, and Mary Bower.

Services will be Monday, Oct. 21, 2019, at 11 a.m. at James L. Hinckley Jr. Funeral Home and Cremation Services Inc., 1024 Market St., Berwick, with Hospice Chaplain Mike Delp officiating. Burial will follow at Elan Memorial Park. Family will receive friends from 10 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
