Marla Gaye Watson, age 70 of Princeton passed away on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at Princeton Health & Rehab Center. She was a former line worker and president of the Local Union #227 at the Carhartt factory; member and had been pianist of Emmanuel Baptist Church in Princeton until her health failed. She enjoyed painting and making jewelry.

Survivors include one daughter, Stacy Rickard & Michael of Princeton; one son, Gordon "Gordy" Watson & Sandra Tabor of Fredonia; one brother, Tracy Travis & Teresa of Caldwell County.; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; one niece, Rebecca Gilkey & Chris; one nephew, Shannon Travis; three great nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Gordon & Elda Doris Travis.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, October 20, 2019 from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm at Morgan's Funeral Home, funeral services will be held on Monday, October 21 at 1:00 PM at Morgan's Funeral Home with Rev. Lester Watson officiating and burial to follow in Pleasant Hill Cemetery in Caldwell County.
