Enlisted in Company F, Iowa 31st Infantry Regiment on 20 Sep 1862. Mustered out on 15 Jan 1863 at Arkansas Post, Arkansas (died of typhoid fever at Regimental Hospital, Arkansas Post, Arkansas).
George married Almira Wilson January 1, 1859 in Wood County, Ohio. Their children were Charles, Emily, Susan, Evaline, and Ella.
I'd be happy if I'm able to transfer this memorial to any descendant of George or Almira.
