immy Ray Farmer, 85 of Kingsland passed away Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2019. He was born Sept. 13, 1934 in Purdon, Texas to Guy R. Farmer and Evelyn Butler Farmer. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Corsicana. Jimmy retired from Ford Motor Company in Dallas and the U.S. Postal Service. He enjoyed woodworking and was a Texas Ranger Baseball fan.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Jane Farmer; parents, Guy and Evelyn Farmer and sister, Elizabeth McCrory.
He is survived by three children, Karen Denny and husband Dale, Susan Barnhill and husband Mark and Shari Hornback and husband Robert; brother, Leslie Farmer; grandchildren, Sarah, Chris, Addison, Brittany, Rhonda and Justin; great grandchildren, Molly, Lilah and Zeke. He is also survived by numerous extended family members.
Visitation will be held from 10 to 11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 19, 2019 at Purdon Baptist Church with funeral service following at 11 a.m. with Rev. Mark Barnhill officiating. Pallbearers will be Chris Denny, Addison Rhudy, Russell Pryor, Randy Farmer, Tim Moody and Dale Denny. Interment to follow at Younger Cemetery.
