Hellen Edna Hancock, 84, passed away on April 24, 1998 in Salt Lake City, Utah.

She was born January 28, 1914 to Roy Franklin Spong and Ruth Agnes Redding Spong in Lorraine, Ohio. Graduate of the Moody Bible Institute and taught school in Wyoming. She wrote beautiful poetry and many interesting stories of her travels. She traveled to almost every state in the United States. Married Loren E. Hancock in 1984, who preceded her in death in 1993.She is survived by her sister, Mildred E. Stivakias of Lima, Ohio; and one niece.

Graveside services will be held on Wednesday, April 29, 1998 at 1 p.m. at Holladay Memorial Park, 4900 Memory Lane, Holladay, Utah. Funeral directors: Deseret Mortuary
