Celebrating Shirley Jean Wortham Holland…. A loving Wife-Mother-Grandmother-Great-grandmother and a Dear friend too many… also known as "Nanny".

Shirley was born to Ola and Robert Wortham 9/6/1936. She was the baby of nine. She graduated from W.L. Roper High School in 1954. It is now known as Anna High School. She married James Dewey Holland February 19, 1955. and had their one and only daughter Shirley Ann 8 years later.

She was a retired seamstress from Hagger's Pant Co. service of 28 years. She bowled on the Hagger's bowling team… and played 3rd base on their softball team. She attended First Baptist Church she sung in the choir for many years and enjoyed helping in Sunday school, and bible school and going on mission trips. She served on the Anna PTA and was room mother for 12 years.

In 1981 Shirley Ann married Tommy Beazley and she became NANNY in 1982….. She had the world with her 3 grandsons….. Little did she know how fast her family would grow. They added 3 granddaughter-in loves… . Then came her great grandchildren… making her family complete. She is proceeding in death by her mom and dad, all eight siblings, her husband James Holland of 54 years. Anyone who knew Shirley knew how much she loved her church, friends and family.

Funeral services for Shirley, will be held at 3:00PM Saturday, October 19, 2019, at Scoggins Funeral Home Chapel, with Pastor David LeBlanc, officiating. Burial will follow at the Highland Cemetery in Melissa, TX. The family will receive friends one hour prior of services.

Services are under the direction Scoggins Funeral Home & Crematory, 637 W. Van Alstyne, Pkwy. Van Alstyne, TX, 75495.
