Pearline Sanders, was born September 18, 1923, to the late Lonnie and Willie Sanders.

She was one of seven children born to this union. During her early years, Pearl attended the Pine Hill and Jacksonville public schools. After relocating to Dallas, Texas, Pearl graduated from Lincoln High School in the Dallas Independent School District.

Pearl accepted Jesus Christ as her Lord and Savior at an early age and became an active member of Rock Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. During her years in Dallas, Pearl was a member of Hope Presbyterian Church, which merged with another congregation, Glendale Presbyterian Church. While at Glendale, Pearl taught Sunday school and led various Youth initiatives. Pearl moved back to the Pine Hill community and re-established her membership with Rock Hill Cumberland Presbyterian Church. During her affiliation with Rock Hill, Pearl participated in numerous auxiliaries. Throughout her dedicated service, Pearl sang in the choir, taught Sunday school, provided hospitality to the clergy and church members, and traveled as a delegate to represent Rock Hill at Presbytery meetings.

Pearl’s love and commitment to assist others was evidenced in her years working as a caregiver. Pearl provided caregiving services with diligence and charm, and reflective of her high standards. Pearl also worked in food service and as a greeter at Tri-County Livestock Market, Inc., where she welcomed visitors and patrons with her familiar warm, compelling smile and cheerful laugh.

Pearl will always be remembered for her kindness, generosity, and light-spirited wit. Even though an Aunt for the ages, Pearl was truly Mother to us all.

Pearl was preceded in death by two sisters, Ida Mae Grant and Ernestine Sanders; and four brothers, Autry, Audie, Vernon Sr. “Chute,” and Brady. Left to love, embrace, and cherish Pearl’s memory are great-nieces, who Pearl affectionately referred to as “The Girls” – Regina Johnson, Cheryl Mosby, and Deidre Henderson; nieces Wanda Smith and Jacqueline Sanders; great-nephews Paul Johnson Jr. and Michael Johnson; nephews Bennie, Vaughn, Carl Frederick, Vernon Jr., Ronnie, Lonnie, Anthony, and Vince Sanders. Lovingly, a host of family and friends will fondly cherish their precious time with Miss Pearl.
