David Wesley Thrift, 80, of Terrell, passed away on Tuesday, October 15, 2019 at Novant Health Presbyterian Hospital in Charlotte.
He was born on August 23, 1939 in Pittsboro, NC, to the late Eric and Martha Council Thrift.
Mr. Thrift taught school for 32 years and then became Superintendent of the school system. He was a member of the Moose Lodge # 0454 in Elkin, NC.
