Joseph V. Nguyen (Tuan), 56, of Denville, NJ passed away suddenly on October 10, 2019 at St. Clare's Hospital in Denville, NJ. Joe was born on March 26, 1963 in Saigon, Vietnam to the late Mr. Thinh V. Nguyen and Mrs. My Thi Tran. Joe lived in Vietnam until the age of eleven before emigrating to the U.S. in 1975. After he completed college, Joe was diagnosed with late stage cancer. He faced cancer head on and beat it to a surprise by all of his doctors at the time. Joe then married the love of his life, Tu N. An and they settled in Denville, NJ in 1997. Joe worked as a Senior Systems Analyst for Fidelity Investments in New York City. He witnessed and survived September 11, 2001. His office then moved to Jersey City. Joe's philosophy was to live a full & healthy life. Joe and his wife became world travelers and they visited many interesting destinations. Besides traveling, Joe enjoyed the outdoors, good food and being with his family and friends. His favorite outdoor activities were skiing, playing tennis, hiking, and especially fly fishing. Joe was very passionate about his fly fishing and he loved to fly fish in Montana on the Missouri River with his friends and two brothers. Joe was loved by his brothers, sisters, many nephews & nieces, his in-laws and his many friends. His kind, quiet, humble ways touched the hearts of many. We will miss him dearly but we know that he is in good hands in heaven with his mom and dad. Hopefully, now he can go fly fishing all the time.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Tu N. An and his six devoted siblings, Nga Wang, Trung Nguyen, Huong Lam, Thu Dang, Thanh Nguyen, and Tam Nguyen. He was predeceased by his parents, Mr. Thinh V. Nguyen and Mrs. My Thi Tran.

A Celebration of Joe's Life will include a visitation on Friday, October 18, 2019 from 3pm to 7pm at the William J. Leber Funeral Home, 15 Furnace Road, Chester, NJ (908) 879-3090. A service and cremation will be held privately by the family.
