In addition, Logan served 4 terms in the state legislature and was a member of the State Constitutional Convention of 1847. He is buried with his wife America and his daughter Sally, who was the wife of Ward Hill Lamon, Lincoln's friend of the Eighth Circuit and personal bodyguard in Washington.
