Oscar Lee Davis went home to be with the Lord on Monday, May 28, 2018, in Spencer, Iowa. Oscar was born on June 14, 1930, near Oak Grove, La. He attended and graduated from Louisiana State University where he earned two degrees, one in education and the other in agricultural economics. Oscar worked for the U.S. Department of Agriculture. In 1951, he was enlisted in the United States Air Force. He then enrolled in flight school and was assigned to radar observation and weapons systems management in Madison, Wis. He met his first wife of 45 years, Helen Metcalf, in 1954. Oscar and Helen resided in Eagle Grove, Iowa, where they raised their three children. After Helen passed away, Oscar then met and married Margaret and gained four step children. After leaving the United States Air Force, he began teaching vocational agriculture, then began a long career as an agricultural territory representative. Oscar was a very involved church member at the United Methodist Church where he served as Lay Speaker for many years in Woolstock, Thor, and Vincent, Iowa. Oscar enjoyed music, playing the guitar, the Green Bay Packers, and loved to reminisce about his childhood. We share so many memories of how thoughtful and compassionate Oscar was over the years. He truly will be missed by many.

Oscar is survived by his wife, Margaret; his children: Jeff (Linda), Jim (Lisa), and Laura (Mike); step children Robert (Christine), Christopher (Jessica), Jennifer (Randy), and Sarah (Abreha); grandchildren: Corey, Ashley, Emily, Amanda, Kayne, Kaylee, Jacob, Madyson, Kirby, Brianna, Crystal, Kolton, Kaitlyn, Asmara, Sameera, and Isaac; and great-grandchildren CJ, Mitchell, Charlotte, Barrett, and Hudson.
