He was born on August 17, 1947 in Manhattan, New York, the son of the late Thomas E. Hurley, Sr. and Julia McGovern Hurley.
Tom worked at Hillman Company as a mechanic for many years.
He was proud to service his country in the US Navy.
He was an avid mechanic to many who knew him. There was nothing about repairing cars that Tom did not know.
He loved the casino’s, bingo, and keeping the yard up. He was a loving, kind and caring person always willing to help others. Tom loved the outdoors, fishing and Horse Racing was his passion. He was a very outgoing person who loved to laugh and make others laugh. He loved his Giants and Yankees.
Tom is survived by his wife, Connie Hurley; daughters, Joanie Thompson (Jamie), Kristen Hall (Baron), Tommie Jo Hurley, Cathleen Blanchard; sisters, Julianne Gleason (Truman), Elizabeth “Lizzy” Gauthier, Irene Field (David); sisters-in-law, Diane Hunt, Kim Anderson; brother-in-law, Herbie Anderson (Karen); six grandchildren, Cody Hall, Rylie Hall, Joshua Salak, Tiffany Salak, Joey Frank (Jesse), Nichole Blanchard; four great-grandchildren, Isabell, John Morgan, Isaiah, Noah Frank; several nieces, nephews and many friends who will miss him.
He is preceded in death by his sister, Barbara Hurley.
A graveside service with military honors will be at Gerald B.H. Solomon Saratoga National Cemetery, 200 Duell Road, Schuylerville, NY 12871.
