Elmer Lee Green
April 8, 1935 - October 17, 2019 Elmer Lee Green was born April 8, 1935 in Laurel County and departed this life Thursday, October 17, 2019 at the St. Joseph Hospital in London, being 84 years of age. He was the son of the late Alfred & Bessie (Robinson) Green.
Elmer is survived by two children, Craig (Brenda) Green of Harrodsburg and Melinda Bowling of London. He was blessed with four grandchildren, Shawn & Susan Green and Taylor & Tory Bowling. He is also survived by two brothers, Kenneth (Joyce) Green and Clyde Green both of South Lebanon, OH and by four sisters, Dorothy (Desman) Peters of McKee, Linda Keyton of Centerville, OH and Hazel Dye and Lola Barker both of South Lebanon, OH.
In addition to his parents, Elmer was also preceded in death by his wife, Margaret “Margie” (Parrett) Green; brother, Paul Green and by two sisters, Louise Neace and Geraldine Green.
Elmer was the Pastor of Seven Pines Pentecostal Church for 25 years. He and his faithful church built and established this very building in 1992. Elmer left a legacy of many souls being saved with his message of Jesus and his loving grace.
Elmer worked for MidSouth Industries for many years and was project manager when the MidSouth Electronics was built providing thousands of jobs to Jackson Countians. He will be loved and missed by many.
Funeral service 3:00 PM Sunday, October 20, 2019 at Seven Pines Pentecostal Church with Bro. Kenneth Cornelius, Bro. Jeff Lewis and Bro. Matthew Robbins officiating. Burial to follow in the Seven Pines Cemetery. Pallbearers: Josh Smith, Mike Grubb, Paul Grubb, Scott Keyton, Steve Peters, Mark Bicknell and Jeff Bicknell. Lakes Funeral Home was in charge of arrangements.
