Rachel A. Stevens, age 81, of Marion died Wednesday evening Oct. 16, 2019 at home surrounded by her family. She was born on Nov. 3, 1937 in Dingess, W. VA. to the late Joseph D. and Nevada T. (Ramey) Canterbury.
Rachel had many talents and had worked as a diesel mechanic, drywaller, security officer and electrician. She loved horses and enjoyed traveling, but her greatest love was spending time with her family.
Rachel is survived by her children; Donald R. Stevens, Christopher Borer, Sherry Hoffman, Sheilah Getter, William D. Stevens, and Jerry Stevens; Grandchildren ; Chrissy, Tabitha, Elisha, Danielle, Adam, Jacob, JR, TJ, Xavier, Renee, Victoria, Kathleen, Kiel, Marketa, Jessica, Dawn, Mackenzie, Christine, Kief, Ashley and Damon. Also many greatgrandchildren, nieces and nephews.
In addition to her parents, Rachel was preceded in death by her sons; Johnnie Ray Stevens and Daniel J. Stevens and a daughter; Deborah Stepp.
The family will announce a celebration of Rachel’s life at a later date.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family to assist with Rachel’s funeral expenses.
