Funeral service will be held at Enon Baptist Church, Columbia, Miss., for Mr. Jimmie S. Riley, 83, of Columbia, who died Sunday, July 8, in Collins, Miss. Interment in the New Enon Cemetery. The Rev. Glen Irwin will officiate the service assisted by the Rev. Harold Baughman and the Rev. Richard Magee. Arrangements entrusted to Colonial Funeral Home, Columbia, Miss.

A native of Marion County, Miss., he was a retired construction supervisor, a member of Enon Baptist Church and served in the U.S. Army.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Nathan and Lucille Spiers Riley; four brothers, Lavelle, Joseph "Pete," Charles and Sammie Riley; and two sisters, Ruth Strickland and Opal Walker.

Survived by his wife, Mary L. Pendarvis Riley, Columbia; two daughters and sons-in-law, Debra and David Hunt, Zachary, and Kathy and Jeff Cooper, Columbia; four sons and daughters-in-law, Jimmy L. and Vickie Riley, Ronnie and Suzanne Riley and Kenny and Wanda Riley, all of Columbia, and Terrell and Deborah Riley, Sumrall, Miss.; four sisters, Katherine Whitbee, Americas, Ga., Doris Ard, Pensacola, Fla., Grace Rolfe, Robertsdale, Ala., and Emmie Nell Ard, Albertville, Ala.; brother, Nathan Riley, Ellisville, Miss.; 18 grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, family and friends.
