Haverstraw - Edwin F. Price, 90, passed peacefully surrounded by his family and loved ones, October 13, 2019. Born May 5, 1929 in Brooklyn, NY to Edwin F. Price Sr. and Genevieve, (Hopkins), Price. On October 6, 1951 he married Charlotte, (Lesniak), Price. Edwin was veteran of the Korean War, proudly serving in the U.S. Army Signal Corps from 1951 to 1953. During his military service Edwin and Charlotte lived in San Luis Obispo, CA. Edwin was a resident of the Village of Haverstraw for nearly 60 years. A Life Member, Knights of Columbus Council 581 in Haverstraw, NY, Edwin served more than 66 years. He worked for 40 years as a staff accountant at Orange and Rockland Utilities. Edwin also served as Vice President of the Hotel Employees Restaurant Employees Union for more than 20 years. An avid sports fan he could always be found watching a NY team and enjoyed annual trips to Long Beach Island, NJ. Edwin is survived by his loving wife of 68 years, Charlotte, his five children, Linda DiCarlo, (Charles), Thomas, (Greta), Mary Morales, Ed, (Nancy) and Andrew, and was predeceased by his infant daughter, Diane Marie. Proud grandfather to JJ Morales, Melissa Squliini, (Peter), Dayna Morales, (Kristen), Alexa, Jake, Madison, Sophie Price, Great Grandfather to David Morales and also loving family friends Saida, Jorge and Antonio Gonazlez. George M. Holt Funeral Home, Haverstraw, NY will handle arrangements. A Graveside Memorial service will be held at Frederick Loescher Veterans Memorial Cemetery, 220 Brick Church Road, Spring Valley, NY 10977 on Saturday, October 19, 2019 at 11:00 AM. The family will receive friends and relatives immediately following the service at Knights of Columbus Council 581, 56 W. Broad St. Haverstraw, NY 10927.
