On June 17, 1930, Clyde and Edna Snyder welcomed baby Charlotte Marie to their family in Spokane, Washington.
Growing up in Washington lead to many precious memories for Charlotte. She adored her grandmother and loved going to her farm in the beautiful hills of Eastern Washington. A very “artful” child, she loved to paint and draw. In winter, she couldn’t wait to put on her ice skates and enjoy the outside rinks and frozen ponds for hours on end.
Charlotte married Louis Parker from Texas and they had 6 children. She was a homemaker who enjoyed cooking and gardening. She was an animal lover. Charlotte moved to Garrison in 1975 with then husband, Tommy King. She was employed as a bookkeeper all of her adult life, retiring from Morgan Oil Company after many years of service.
Mom would later marry Murvel Corley of Garrison. He preceded her in death in 2007. Also preceding her in death were her parents, sisters, Lenah and Florence, and lots of other family members and friends.
Charlotte is survived by Johnny and Jeannie Parker, Roger and Sheryl Parker, Judy and Gary Barnett, Sharon and Dennis McCallister, Linda Parker Frederick, and Michael Parker. She was a grandmother to 19 grandchildren and several great grands as well. She also leaves behind her beloved dog, Taco.
Charlotte was a member of Holly Springs Baptist Church.
