Anna Frances Hicks, 84 of Princeton, passed away Sunday, October 13, 2019 at Princeton Health and Rehab Center. A daughter of the late Howard Hopewell Hancock and Elsie Mae Townsend Hancock in Hopkins County, she was born January 30, 1935.

After completing her high school education, Frances worked at Woolworths's soda fountain in Madisonville as well as Ottenheimer's shirt factory in Dawson Springs, later she worked as a CNA, housemother and teacher of special needs children at Outwood in Dawson Springs. She was retired from Hicks Dollar General Stores, Inc. of which she was secretary, treasurer as well as co-owner with her late husband, L. Edward Hicks. Frances also enjoyed writing and authored a Book in the early 60's, entitled Golden Nimble Builders. Various articles and "Letters to the Editor" could be found from time to time in The Caldwell County Times. Frances was of the Christian faith and served for many years as a Sunday School teacher; last teaching Adult Sunday School to residents of Princeton Health Care Manor. She also served as pianist and organist at the First Assembly of God Church in Princeton, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents and husband, as well as step-daughter, Mildred Marie Hicks Ward; sister, Mary Ruth Hancock Wells; three nieces, Debra Kay Allen Gunn, Beverly Allen Caraway, Sandra Elaine Allen Patterson.

Survivors include daughters, Susan Renee Edwards Adams and husband, Dennis, of Princeton, Yvette Rachelle Hicks Clark and husband, Bill, of Louisville; sister, Katherine Allen of Princeton; brother, Gene Hancock and wife, Wanda, of Hopkins County; grandchildren, Daniel E. Adams and wife, Nicole, of Princeton, John T. Adams and wife, Kallie, of Princeton, Brian D. Hicks and wife, Renee, of Princeton, Damon E. Hicks and wife, Melissa, of Calvert City, Angelia M. Medina and husband, Lupe, of Bowling Green; great-grandchildren, Dylan Adams, Nick Adams, Ellie Adams of Caldwell County, Keaton Driver and Piper Adams of Caldwell County, Cody Hughes of Louisville, Brandon Petty of Caldwell County, Sebastian Hughes and Austin Hughes of Caldwell County, Brittany Hicks Thompson, Clayton Hicks, Justin Hicks.

Visitation will be held at Morgan's Funeral Home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 from 1:00-3:30 PM.

Funeral services will be held at Morgan's Funeral home on Thursday, October 17, 2019 at 3:30 PM with Bro. Lynn McWherter, Bro. David Brown and Nicole Adams officiating. Burial to follow in Cedar Hill.
