He was a retired Firefighter with Gwinnett County after 25 years of service. He was preceded also in death by his brother, Edward Roper. He is survived by his fiancé Diane Greer; children, Jennifer Roper Keith, Jana Roper Wedlake, and Angie Primavera and son-in-law, Sonny; grandchildren, Jessica and husband Chase Matthews, Jordan Evans, Riley Wedlake, Blake Primavara and Wyatt Primavera; brother, Donald and wife Shirley Roper; sisters, Patricia and husband Thad Payne, and Linda and husband Richard Hulsey.
