Manuel T. Aragon, age 86, a life-long resident of Peralta, NM, returned to the Lord surrounded by his loving family, on Sunday, July 8, 2007. He was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, in Peralta. Manuel proudly served his country in the U.S. Army during World War II, serving in England and France. After the war, he came home and married his queen, (high school sweetheart) Frances DeAnda. Manuel was a fair and giving man. He didn't talk of how we should live, he showed us by the example of living life right. He was preceded in death by his parents, Benjamin and Catalina Aragon; brother, Vicente Aragon; two sisters, Sally and Mary Aragon; three daughters, Dolores, Gloria, and Cathy; and three grandchildren, Dolores Marie, Wessley, and Angelo. Manuel is survived by his loving wife, Frances Aragon; six loving children, Frances Serda and her husband, Alex Aragon and his wife, Martha, Benjamin and his wife, Maria, and Fernando Aragon, all of Peralta, Bernadette Griego and her husband, Kenny of Albuquerque, and Fermin Aragon and his wife, Marcella of Bosque Farms; 13 grandchildren; 24 great-grandchildren; and brother, Tomas Aragon of Albuquerque. He is also survived by many loving nieces, nephews, relatives, and friends. Services will be held at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, on Tuesday, July 10, 2007 with a viewing at 5:30 p.m. and a Rosary to be recited at 6:00 p.m. A final visitation will be held on Wednesday, July 11, 2007 at 10:30 a.m. with a Funeral Mass to be celebrated at 11:00 a.m. with Father Jose Hernandez presiding. Interment will follow at the Valencia Catholic Cemetery. Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Errol and Allen Serda, and Phillip, Joseph, Fernando, and Steven Aragon. Honorary pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Annabel, Nancy, Anna Lisa, Angelisa, Jeanine, Bobby, and Benjamin.
