David Braden, aged 81 years, died at 3 o'clock Tuesday morning, at the home of a daughter, Mrs. Harry Zwahlen, 905 Kinnard Avenue. Death was due to senility and the deceased had been in failing health for some time.
Mr Braden was a retired farmer of Whitley county, and came to Fort Wayne thirty years ago. He retired from all active work ten years ago. His native state was Pennsylvania, having been born in Westmoreland county. He was a member of the West Creighton Avenue Church of Christ, and during his membership in that congregation held many offices in the church. The wife preceded Mr Braden in death by many years.
Two children survive, Mrs. Harry Zwahlen and Jesse Braden, of this city. He also leaves three grandchildren and two sisters, Mrs. Phoebe Robinette and Mrs. James Swisher both of Columbia City.
Funeral services will be held Thursday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the residence and 2:30 o'clock from the West Creighton Avenue Church of Christ.
